In competition with 50 other projects, Wellstrøm are proud to have been announced winner of the sustainable category.

Wellstrøm’s world-leading wellbore sealing solution utilizes M3 bismuth alloys for a rigless, controllable, low-carbon and permanent method of plugging wells. The technology delivers a superior quality and highly durable wellbore barrier with the potential to provide reliable sealing for thousands of years, and the installation operation itself reduces CO2 emissions compared to conventional methods.
TotalEnergies are an industrial supporter of Wellstrøm and the current prototype’s development and continue to support further development of the Wellstrøm technology.
